Embrella Arts is a consulting company dedicated to supporting and uplifting performing arts organizations. After spending my entire career in the performing arts as a professional dancer, arts administrator, touring production manager, and board director, I saw a gap in the field that I felt uniquely equipped to fill. Many arts organizations, particularly small to mid-sized ones, lack the resources to hire full-time staff for essential functions like programming, grant writing, strategic planning, or marketing. Yet these roles are critical for growth and sustainability. Rather than watching these organizations struggle, I created Embrella Arts to offer expert support on a flexible, as-needed or ongoing basis.

What motivates me is a deep commitment to the arts and the people who make them happen. I believe that creativity doesn’t stop at the stage, it belongs in how we run our organizations, fund our missions, and reach our communities. My goal is to help arts organizations thrive in ways that are financially sustainable and true to their artistic visions. Whether I’m helping an organization write a grant, develop a new program, or strategize a season, I aim to be both a problem solver and a creative partner.

The story behind Embrella Arts is rooted in necessity and passion. When I searched for a full-time position in my city, I found that very few existed that matched my diverse skill set. At the same time, I was hearing from arts groups who needed help but only had limited budgets and short-term needs. Rather than force a traditional fit, I built a new model, one that allows organizations to access experienced leadership without the long-term financial burden of a full-time hire.

Many groups are accustomed to the idea that staff must be full-time or permanent. But through trust, communication, and consistently strong outcomes, I’ve helped my clients see the value of flexible, expert support. One of the biggest challenges is the ongoing scarcity of funding in the arts but it’s also what makes my work so critical. I’m proud to help organizations find creative, sustainable ways to do more with what they have, while planting the seeds for bigger dreams ahead.
